St. Dic
St Dic (° Montreal, 1974), aka Scalle, was a resident DJ at Fuse club (Brussels) where he, Smos & Baby Bee and Frederick host the Motion floor. At the age of seven, St Dic moved to Belgium where he grew up skateboarding, listening to hardcore guitar-bands, and going to concerts. On a whim, he began DJing in 1993 at a friend's home. After some practice he began rocking parties, then bigger events and eventually regular 7-hour gigs at the mighty Food club. It was these well-received Food gigs that brought him to the attention of several promoters, and as a result he ended up as one of the weekly Fuse residents.
At Fuse's Motion floor he was well known for blending deep-house and tech-house, creating a crowd-pleasing sonic cocktail that is sometimes laid-back and other times uplifting.
A sample of St Dic's DJ skills can be heard on the Fuse compilation "Fuse 5th Anniversary," a mix that truly embodies the vibe of Fuse's Motion floor. St. Dic has been moving audiences all over Belgium, including the Dour festival, Axion Beach, House-Tourhout, and the Sjock festival. His bounds as a DJ where extending internationally: Red Light, Sudio 287, Batofar (Paris), Café de la Gare (Luxembourg), L'Aéronef (Lille, France), and Chemistry, De Rechter, Tivola (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Roxy, Mecca (Prahe, Czech).
St Dic was resident on the motion level at Fuse since 1998 and resident at La Demence ( biggest Belgian gay night)
He was during 3 years by monthly resident of the infamous "Respect" parties at Fuse
On the 20the of december 2006, St dic passed away. A great loss for the belgian Dj scene.
